Cleaning Contrast Grey Projection Screens
The care of a contrast grey projection screen is largely based upon the type of screen it is. The manufacture will generally include cleaning and care instructions to guide a person on the proper procedures. However, generally speaking, a contrast grey projection screen is quite easy to clean and care for.
A contrast grey projections screen is a projection screen that is basically made the same as an easy to care for white matte screen, with one distinct difference. Obviously, grey screens are grey in color where as white matte screen are white. The addition of color, however, does not affect the way the screen is cleaned.
Contrast grey projection screens can be wiped down with soapy water, rinsed and dried. The best cleaning solution is a mild detergent in water. A person should use soft clothes to clean, rinse and dry the screen to help avoid scratching the screens surface. Also harsh or abrasive cleaners should never be used. The screen is unlikely to get extremely dirty and cleaning is only done to remove build up that has settled on the surface from the air, so using anything harsh is not necessary.
Contrast grey projection screen care is something that should be done on a regular basis. Even though the screen is not complex or contain special materials, like glass beaded screens, debris and dust on its surface will definitely impact the uniformity and clarity of the projected image. By cleaning regularly a person should be able to maintain their screen in good working order for quite some time.
