Cleaning White Matte Projection Screens
The most popular projection screen choice is a white matte projection
screen. This screen type is so popular because it is easy to use, durable
and easy to care for. With just basic care a white matte projection screen
should last for quite some time without a need for repairs or replacement.
White matte projection screens are made of a woven material, usually
fiberglass, that is covered in a protective coating. This construction
makes these screens very strong. They are not easily ripped or torn. They
are also very easy to clean.
No projection screen should be scrubbed with abrasive or harsh cleaning
agents, but white matte projection screens can be cleaned with mild
cleansers. A white matte projection screen should be wiped down on a
regular basis with a soapy wash. The recommended soap is dish detergent
because it is gentle and non-abrasive. A sponge is the best thing to use.
Usually the screen can be wiped down with any heavy stain being blotted.
The screen should not be scrubbed harshly as this can break down the
protective coating. The screen can be left to air dry or blotted with a
soft cloth. Matte white projection screen do not mildew, so letting it air
dry is the best method.
White matte projection screens are a great choice for a busy area or an area where there is a lot of dust. These screens are cleaned easily and do not come with the damage worries of other projection screen types. White matte projection screens allow a person to focus on using the screen, not worrying about damaging it.

White Matte screens are all too common. Your product line, as well as your individual booth size and configuration will determine what size or type of projection display you need.
Contending with bright lights on the convention floor is a big concern as well. If you have a great product, do you really want to show it off on a washed-out screen ?
